We have not yet begun, but the need is urgent — children are waiting for safe homes.
Shelter is more than a roof; it is safety, dignity, and stability. Yet many children in Uganda live in unsafe, overcrowded, or temporary housing. Poverty, displacement, and crises leave them vulnerable to illness, exploitation, and hopelessness.
At Tonny’s Hope for Children Africa, we envision a shelter program that will provide safe homes, emergency housing, and renovated spaces for children in need. While this program has not yet started, our mission is clear: to ensure that no child grows up without a secure place to call home.
The need is visible every day — children sleeping in unsafe structures, families displaced by hardship, and communities struggling to provide stability. With your support, we can begin to build safe spaces where children can thrive.
Without shelter, children cannot rest, study, or grow in dignity. Unsafe housing exposes them to disease, accidents, and emotional trauma. A safe home is the foundation for education, health, and hope.
Every day without intervention is another day a child suffers needlessly. Together, we can change this reality.
As of now, the shelter program has not yet begun. We are preparing, building partnerships, and seeking resources to launch. This is where you come in — your support can help us take the first step toward safe homes for children.
With your help, we will provide emergency housing, renovate unsafe structures, and begin construction of permanent facilities.
Once launched, our shelter program will focus on several child-centered priorities:
These plans reflect our commitment to building a future where every child has a safe place to call home. With your support, we can turn these plans into reality.
Your generosity provides school fees, books, uniforms, and hope. Together, we can change a child’s future through education.
